Witnessing for Scope 13 underway. Project for Scopes 1,2 and 3 in the pipeline. Submitted the first request for registration of a CDM projects

4 4 Eligibility Criteria for Validation of CDM Projects The eligibility criteria: In a nut shell, All projects which demonstrate that they supply” Real, Measurable, Long Term Emission Reductions by fulfilling the rules described in Decision 17/CP7 (Marrakech Accord), for more info refer: http://cdm.unfccc.int/EB/Meetings/016/eb16anagan1.pdf The project must not be a business as usual and demonstrate additionality, for more info refer those projects submitted for public comments from the following web: http://cdm.unfccc.int/Projects/Validation/?archive=yes Host country approval and confirmation that the project meets sustainable development criteria. Non Host Party letter of approval Project must use approved Baseline and Monitoring methodologies.

5 5 Eligibility Criteria for Validation of CDM Projects Project must reflect the beneficial requirements of Environmental Social Sustainable Developments Complete version 2 of CDM PDD should be submitted with out altering the template

6 6 Key Steps in Validation & Verification Process  Use of Approved methodology (Large Projects)  Draft PDD  Final PDD and letters of Authorisation and Approval  Unilateral CDM  Request for Registration  Requests for review

7 7 Conclusions CDM is slowly gaining momentum Prices for carbon are increasing - EU ETS is creating some demand DOEs are increasing in number and scope of accreditation CDM EB is at an important cross-roads - EB16 and 17 will be quite important meetings Bring projects forward for registration Make sure your meters are calibrated
