2 ABOUT ME Assistant State’s Attorney (AKA District Attorney, County Attorney, etc.) with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office handles all of the non-federal criminal prosecutions for the City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs; Currently assigned to the Gang Crimes Unit; Extensive White Collar Crime experience from my previous assignment in our office’s Financial Crimes Unit; Live in a suburb of Chicago with my beautiful wife and kids

5 DISCUSSION BOARD SUCCESS Write a substantive original post (100 words). Respond to at least ONE other classmate—more on this on the next slide (although I encourage you to post early and often—no penalty for extra posts ). Post before the end of the unit (no credit for late postings). Keep your posts professional and your replies to other students respectful and positive.

6 DISCUSSION BOARD SUCCESS REMEMBER, 2 requirements AT MINIMUM: 1.Write a substantive original post (100 words). 2.Responding to at least ONE other classmate. BUT…  NOTE: “Great post…” “I completely agree with you…” WITHOUT more substance are not good enough to get full credit  This does not mean that compliments like these to your classmates are not appreciated. BUT, to get credit for the post, you need more.

7 SEMINARS Try to be on time. Try to participate as much as possible. In seminars we should vigorously debate the points but make sure to stay on topic. Again, use net etiquette. You are required to remain respectful of others at all times. IF you cannot attend the seminar, see the requirements for the alternative assignment for full credit NOTE – If you are more than 10 minutes late or if you leave the seminar too early, you will have to do the alternative assignment in order to get the full credit for seminar.
