Types of recruitment The recruitment process should include the stages from identifying a vacancy to receipt of applications. Candidates should understand benefits and drawbacks of internal and external recruitment and training.

Follow up references Label each (1- 9) and draw a line between the 1st and last stage in the process to show the correct order

7 Job Descriptions A detailed statement of the nature of the job, identifying the precise task and responsibilities involved. Describes the JOB Includes: Job Title and location Responsibilities / duties Responsible to / for

8 Person Specification A statement or listing of the characteristics required to do a job successfully. Describes the PERSON Includes: Qualifications (e.g. degree) Experience (e.g. number of years) Training (e.g. PGCE) Special skills (e.g. driving) It can also include elements that are essential or desirable … Physical attributes Mental attributes Education and qualifications Experience, training and skills Personality Special circumstances
