4 Who We Are Currently, the Education Division at the St. Louis RPO has 337 full-time staff working in various capacities. Processing Section I Processing Section II Ancillary Section Education Front Office

5 Who We Are The Education Front Office consists of the Education Officer, the Assistance Education Office, Congressional Liaisons and 4 support staff for the division. 6 Who We Are The Processing Section I consists of three Chapter 33 processing Teams, 1 Out-Of-System processing Team, and 1 Chapter 35/Chapter 32 processing Team. 3 Chapter 33 processing Teams 1 Out-Of-System Processing Team 1 Chapter 35/Chapter 32 Processing Team Processing Section I

7 Who We Are In the Processing Section I, there are a total of 104 full-time employees: 1 Section Chief 5 Coaches 21 Senior Veteran Claims Examiners 77 Veteran Claims Examiners Processing Section I

9 Who We Are In the Processing Section II, there are a total of 121 full-time employees: 1 Section Chief 7 Coaches 21 Senior Veteran Claims Examiners 93 Veteran Claims Examiners Processing Section II

10 Who We Are The Ancillary Section consists of the Training/Quality/DOD team, the Corrections Team, the Upstream Team, the COW team, the Work-Study Team, and also the Right-Now- Web Team 1 Training/Quality/DOD Team 1 Corrections Team 1 Upstream Team 1 COW Team 1 Work-Study Team 1 Right-Now-Web Team Ancillary Section

11 Who We Are In the Ancillary Section, there are a total of 99 full-time employees: 1 Section Chief 4 Coaches 14 Senior Veteran Claims Examiners 45 Veteran Claims Examiners 2 Education Case Managers 5 Lead Claims Assistants 21 Claims Assistants 1 Death Claims Clerk 2 Work Study Coordinators 4 Work Study Techs Ancillary Section

12 Who We Are The Ancillary section is where the Corrections Team, Right-Now-Web team, and Work-Study team are located. There 3 teams are the teams that help to support you the most. The Corrections Team processes Compliance Surveys as well as DMC requests. The Right-Now-Web team works with you on any issues you are having with your submitted enrollments. The Work-Study team processing all Applications and Timesheets for Work-Study programs.

17 What we have accomplished The national requirement to complete an Original Claim is 28 days. Currently our timeliness for each month of FY15 has been: For year to date, our timeliness for original clams is 14.1 days.

18 What we have accomplished The national requirement to complete a Supplemental Claim is 14 days. Currently our timeliness for each month of FY15 has been: For year to date, our timeliness for supplemental clams is been 5.6 days.

19 H OW YOU CAN HELP THE E DUCATION D IVISION AT THE S T. L OUIS RPO

20 How you can help us During FY15, 55.6% of your supplemental claims for the Chapter 33 benefit have been able to be processed through Full-Automation.

21 How you can help us During FY15, 32.7% of supplemental claims for the Chapter 33 benefit went through patricidal automation.

22 How you can help us You specifically and help to lower this percent and improve the overall full-automation percentage for the Chapter 33 benefit just by improving the VAONCE remarks. VAONCE has a set of standardize remarks that the Long-Term Solution can read.

23 How you can help us Examples of what not to use in the Remarks Section: Happy Holidays! Spring Break/Holiday Break! Will submit T&F at a later date Just now if a remark is put in that is not a standardized remark, it will be off-ramped. So if you really don’t have a valid reason for the claim to be manual processed, be mindful of what you put in the remarks section.
