...we are especially inspired by... Belgium: FRIS Research Portal : The graphic functions - organisation location in the map and Collaboration diagram http://www.researchportal.be/en/index.faces National Information System Supporting Research and Development in the Slovak Republic – Access to Electronic Information Resources (NISPEZ) http://nispez.cvtisr.sk

...we are especially inspired by... Czech Republic: Information System for Research, Development and Innovation: Variety of Hypertext links between items http://aplikace.isvav.cvut.cz/ National Information System Supporting Research and Development in the Slovak Republic – Access to Electronic Information Resources (NISPEZ) http://nispez.cvtisr.sk

...we are especially inspired by... Estonia: Estonian Research Portal ETIS: data and software processing and rich content https://www.etis.ee/index.aspx?lang=en National Information System Supporting Research and Development in the Slovak Republic – Access to Electronic Information Resources (NISPEZ) http://nispez.cvtisr.sk

...we are especially inspired by... Hungary: HunCris: implementation of thesauri and user friendly navigation - possibility to specify a search term from any thesaurus https://nkr.info.omikk.bme.hu/ National Information System Supporting Research and Development in the Slovak Republic – Access to Electronic Information Resources (NISPEZ) http://nispez.cvtisr.sk

...we are especially inspired by... Netherlands: NARCIS: possibility of simultaneous search in all subsystems, hypertext link of key words - contextual search http://www.narcis.info/index National Information System Supporting Research and Development in the Slovak Republic – Access to Electronic Information Resources (NISPEZ) http://nispez.cvtisr.sk

...we are especially inspired by... Slovenia: SICRIS: linkage of personal data (on an expert) to his/her publication activities http://sicris.izum.si/about/cris.aspx?lang=eng National Information System Supporting Research and Development in the Slovak Republic – Access to Electronic Information Resources (NISPEZ) http://nispez.cvtisr.sk

Conclusion – good CRIS may include (1) User-friendly entry to the system (main webpage) that contains: – Description of system content – Number of data records in subsystems – Simultaneous search in all subsystems – Rich search criteria with possibilities for retrieval (pop-up menu, faceted navigation...) – Boolean and full text search – Possibility of display all records – Search results can be sorted by importance or frequency of search term Bilingualism of user interface and data (national and English version) National Information System Supporting Research and Development in the Slovak Republic – Access to Electronic Information Resources (NISPEZ) http://nispez.cvtisr.sk

Conclusion – good CRIS may include(2) Relevant objects classification, thesaurus implementation Hypertext link between items - single-click transition to a related item Graphic information (location of an organisation on the maps, photograph of the expert, collaboration diagram, tag clouds: key words ordered by frequency or by importance Output generator (define report layout, select of required columns, define searching and sorting criteria) Data export via web interface.
