8 Increase Community Awareness through – More Weekly Mailing subscribers – Weekly Subscribers as of Feb 2013 (end of last year) - 263 – Current Weekly Subscriber as of Feb 10, 2014 – 357 – 36% Subscription Increase (94 new subscribers)! Roughly 45-50% of those subscribers actually open the email. – More Facebook page Likes/subscribers – Feb 2013 - 160 – Feb 2014 - 215 – 34% Likes Increase (55 new Likes)! – More Website Hits – See stats on Next Slide 2013-2014 Goals – Midpoint Check

9 2013-2014 Goals – Website Stats January 2013 – 1,720 hits January 2014 – 2,015 hits 17% increase (295 additional hits!)

10 Increase Community Awareness through – Increased PTA membership Jan 2013 – 368 Total Student Body - 312 Total Members (85%) – 253 Family/Teachers/Staff (69%) – 59 Grandparents/Friends (16%) Jan 2014 – 401 Total Student Body - 341 Total Members (85%) – 310 Family/Teachers/Staff (77%) INCREASE!! – 31 Grandparents/Friends (8%) Main focus has been to increase membership population among immediate Arrowhead families/staff to improve communication. 2013-2014 Goals – Midpoint Check

11 Increase Community Awareness through – More parent education opportunities Words from School Internet Safety Understanding Diet and Behavior How to talk with your child about Bullying (March meeting) Increase Partnership with MLC program Bellevue Art Museum Program contributed to over 10 Reflections submissions from MLC Translating afterschool sign-up forms in Spanish for MLC family Continue to keep it S.A.F.E. – Simple/Sustainable – Simplifying Processes such as Fall Fundraiser, Sign-up Genius – Accessible – Advertising PTA Mtg (vs. General or Board) so all feel welcome. – Fun – Light Dinner/Social beforehand – Enlightening – A parent education opportunity at every meeting 2013-2014 Goals – Midpoint Check

12 PTA Award Submission – due by April 1 The more specific examples provided, the better. awards@ptaarrowhead.org Golden Acorn Will present up to 3 at the June General PTA meeting The PTA Golden Acorn Award is presented each year to people who have given exemplary volunteer service to the children at Arrowhead Elementary and our PTA. It is a very special award and is given for continued and dedicated service. This award is an excellent way to honor PTA members for their outstanding contributions and to celebrate the difference they make in our Arrowhead community. Honorary Life Membership Will present one award at the June General PTA meeting The purpose of the Honorary Life Membership is to recognize an individual who has contributed significantly to a PTA at the local unit, council, or state level. Outstanding Advocate Award Will present one award at the June General PTA meeting In 2004, the Washington State PTA established the Outstanding Advocate Award, a new statewide volunteer recognition program to recognize and honor individuals for their advocacy work on behalf of children and youth. This award can be given by a PTA unit, council, or region. Recipients receive a certificate and pin and a contribution is made in their name to the WSPTA Scholarship Program
