LEVITICUS A book rich with laws and regulations Moses is the author Matthew 8: 2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean." 3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4 And Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.“ (Lev. 14:1-4)

Luke 2:22 Now when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord (Lev. 12:2-6) Leviticus 27:34 These are the commandments which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel on Mount Sinai. Leviticus contains more direct messages from God than the other books. (103 instances) Key words: Holiness (87), Blood (89), Atonement (45).

Key verses: Leviticus 11: 44 'For I am the LORD your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth. 45 'For I am the LORD who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. The key phrase: “I am the Lord your God” (21) The theme of Leviticus is holiness and that God is holy.

Leviticus 17:11 'For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.‘ Hebrews 9: 22-28 Blood is necessary 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. Laws of Sacrifice (1-6:7) Leviticus 4:3-12 Sin offering

Laws of the Priests (6:8-10:20) Leviticus 10:1 Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the LORD, which He had not commanded them. 2 So fire went out from the LORD and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Laws of Purity (11-22) Lev. 16:1-22 Atonement day

Hebrews 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. Laws of Feasts (23-25)

A Reminder and some various Laws (26-27) Leviticus 26: 3 ' If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, 4 then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

Leviticus 26: 14 ' But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. 18 ' And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. 19 I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.

1. God has giving us a free will to choose to be good or to be bad. 2. If we choose to obey his will then we will receive his blessing. 3. If we choose to disobey him then we will be separated from him and he will be against us.
