Tier 2: Strategic Interventions Students who need more support in addition to the core curriculum. Tier 1: Core Curriculum All students, including students who require curricular enhancements for acceleration. BEHAVIOR SYSTEMS Tier 3: Intensive Interventions Students who need individualized intervention. Tier 2: Targeted Group Interventions Students who need more support in addition to school-wide positive behavior program. Tier 1: Universal Interventions All students in all settings. COACHING

7  Leadership is the #2 factor, teaching is #1, in factors that impact student learning.  High quality school leaders:  chart a clear course,  establish high expectations, and  use data to track progress and performance.  The Principal is the “instructional leader” who:  allocates resources needed,  leads the intervention team, and  is responsible for accountability.

8  The Principal is the “leader of the process” who is responsible for:  managing the curriculum so it is effective,  leading the instruction in a manner that provides the students with the necessary skills, and  integrating these three into a effective learning system for ALL students. The Principal is the LEADER of the process.
