Focus: Evaluating the Essentials To Radically Improve student Learning A variety of formative and summative assessments will be used to gage student progress. Hands-on Laboratory experiences or video Laboratory experiences will be provided.

6. Grading: Marking Period Grades will be determined by an accumulated point value system. Points Earned/Available points Note: Extra-credit is not available.

7. Accelerated Students Accelerated students are assessed using exams that require greater independent thinking and writing skills. Accelerated students will also be required to complete a monthly journal entry and complete three written investigations each marking period.
