6 Infrastructure Australia A 1% improvement in efficiency will yield a $2 billion-a-year benefit ALC strongly supports Infrastructure Australia National Infrastructure Audit findings: – Without action, Australia’s productivity and quality of life will be tested – Greater integration is called for between infrastructure and land-use planning – Encouragement of improvements in long-term infrastructure planning, project appraisal and selection

10 Conclusion Progressing the future of trade logistics in our region must be supported by: – smooth and efficient supply chains, and; – appropriate financial mechanisms to facilitate investment in infrastructure
