2. What is a social network website?  A site used to interact with friends and family

3. Give two social network website examples  Facebook and Myspace are both very popular social networking sites. Brainpop.com states “They unite millions of people from all walks of life” These are also good sites to interact with friends who have the same interests as you by joining groups.

4. What is one good thing about social networking?  By joining groups you can meet people who have the same interests as you. Also onsocial networking sites you can post things and send messages there for getting the word out faster.

5. Who should you add as friends?  For friends you should add people you know such as friends and family.

6. Why should you be careful about what types of photos you post? For example, why would it be bad to post a photo of yourself wearing a school t-shirt?  You have to be careful because predators have a lot of tricks so if you post pictures of you in a shirt say things like your hometown, school, sports team, or just a gym you go too they can locate your town, school, find out what town your sports team plays in, of find out what places have your gym.

7. What can you do to keep others from contacting you or looking at your information?  To keep others from contacting you or looking at your information its best to set your profile to private. On private people can only see very limited information and can only see your profile picture no others.

8. What specific information should you not post or give out?  Do not post personal information such as any phone numbers, addresses, school, town, ect.

9. What should you do if someone is making you feel uncomfortable?  If someone is making you feel uncomfortable tell an adult and ignore them.
