17 ILS CERTIFICATION ILS EQUIPMENT AT FENIX
A step-by-step certification process is required before an ILS is acceptable for ‘no-sight’ operations. During the certification period the reliability (duration of uninterrupted service) needs to be proved. Regular flight inspections have to be performed.
