2. 1 2 3 Step 1. Place IC on board. Leave one empty row below IC.

3. 1 2 3 Step 2. Connect 33 kilohm resistor between IC pins 3 and 7

4. 1 2 3 Step 3. Connect 0.5" green jumper wire from IC pin 4 to bottom row on left side of board

5. 1 2 3 Step 4. Connect 33 kilohm resistor between IC pin 3 and bottom row on left side of board

6. 1 2 3 Step 5. Connect capacitor between IC pin 6 and bottom row on right side of board

7. 1 2 3 Step 6. Place 100 kilohm potentiometer on board

8. 1 2 3 Step 7. Connect 10 kilohm resistor between potentiometer pin 3 and IC pin 2

9. 1 2 3 Step 8. Connect 100 ohm resistor between IC pin 2 and row directly above IC on left side of board

10. 1 2 3 Step 9. Connect 0.5" green jumper wire from IC pin 6 to potentiometer pin 1

11. 1 2 3 Step 10. Connect 0.5" green jumper wire from potentiometer pin 2 (the wiper) to potentiometer pin 3

12. 1 2 3 Step 11. Connect 1.0" brown jumper wire from IC pin 7 to an empty row above the potentiometer on right side of board

13. 1 2 3 Step 12. Connect capacitor between 100 ohm resistor and an empty row two rows above on left side of board

14. 1 2 3 Step 13. Connect 10 kilohm resistor between capacitor and row with brown jumper on right side of board

15. 1 2 3 Step 14. Connect 1.0" brown jumper wire from IC pin 4 to an empty row on left side of board towards the top

16. 1 2 3 Step 15. Connect 0.5" green jumper wire from capacitor to the empty row directly above the top end of the brown jumper wire from the previous step

17. 1 2 3 Step 16. Connect mic element so that the positive terminal is in the row with the green jumper wire and the negative terminal is in the row with the brown jumper wire

18. 1 2 3 Step 17. Connect diode between the 10 kilohm resistor and an empty row on the right side of the board. Note polarity: the cathode (the end with the black stripe) should connect to the 10 kilohm resistor

19. 1 2 3 Step 18. Connect RCA jack between the bottow left row and the bottom right row. Note polarity: the positive terminal (the center pin of the jack) should connect to the bottom right row

20. 1 2 3 Step 19. Connect 9-volt battery holder between diode and bottom left row of board. Note polarity: the positve battery terminal (the red wire) should connect to the anode of the diode
