3. Once upon a time there was a cow. She was named Bahula, the honest cow.

4. One day Bahula went to the forest to eat grass. There were nice trees, Nice flowers, Everything was very opulent.

5. But then one tiger came and he said. Grrrrr! I’m going to eat you!

6. O.K. But I’ll wait right here! All right, but let me go and feed my calf one last time.

7. She went home and saw her calf for the last time. But night came and she left with tears in her eyes.

8. Oh! ! !

9. The tiger was amazed. And he said, “You could have lied. Why did you come back?”

10. Then Bahula said, “The Earth can bear any weight except for the weight of one liar. So, how could I pain Her so much!”

11. Then the tiger laughed and said, “Actually I am Sri Krsna, and I was just testing your honesty. Won’t you please be my wife?”

12. So Bahula was married to Krsna and lived happily for ever and ever thereafter.

13. Even now there is a temple to her in Bahulavan in Vrndavana, and people come from all over the world to offer respects to Bahula, the honest cow.
