4 Geography: There are two main types of Geography. Do you know what they are? Physical geography Human geography But what do they mean?

5 Physical Geography is... Copy into books:
Physical geography is the study of the Earth’s natural features. It is about the land, sea and environment around us. Landforms are natural features formed by rivers, sea, ice and volcanoes. Can you tell me 5 other things which could be classed as physical geography?

6 Human Geography is: Copy into books:
Human geography is the study of where and how people live. Can you name 5 things which could be classed as Human Geography in your area?

7 Task: Around the room there are 15 different images, in pairs decide which image is human geography and which is physical geography.

25 Map it! Now that you have an understanding of what is human and physical geography have a look at the images on the sheet titled ‘physical and human geography. Try and locate the physical and human images using an atlas found around the world Once you have found the location of that image attach them to your blank world map.
