Simplify each expression using the distributive property  3( h-5) =  (6+9v)6 =  -1(14+x) =  20( 8-a)= 3h-15 36 +54v -14-x 160-20a

Simplify each expression using the distributive property  ½( 4h-6) =  -(6+9v) =  1.1(6+x) = 2h-3 -6-9v 6.6+1.1x

Like Terms: remember that like terms have the same variable raised to the same power 12x + 4x = 16x 4b+ 4a+4b= 8b + 4a

Simplify each expression  2(2h+1)+3(4h+7)  5(n-8)+ 6(7-2n)  4h+2 + 12h+ 21 = 16h+23 5n-40 + 42-12n= -7n+2
