3 Missing Data Report Purpose New Criteria for FY08 – starting with October –75% of data submitted which increases over time to 95% –Must include Student, Staff, Building/District data –Warning letter issued –Percentage calculate by 12 Measures –Financial penalties still apply ( ‘incomplete or inaccurate’ ) Measures to be posted on ODE’s website under EMIS

4 Reporting Timeline Changes Reporting Periods Unchanged –October (K) (16) October 12th - February 1 st  NO CHANGE ! –December (M) (7) November 30th – January 18th –July (H) (13) July 4th – September 26 th Reporting Periods Changed –February (C) (11) February 15th – April 25th (Shortened by 2 weeks) –March (D) (10) February 22nd – April 25th (Begins one week earlier and shortened by one week) –Yearend (N) (11) May 9th – July 18th (Begins one week earlier and ends two weeks earlier) –Five-Year Forecast (P) (42) October 12th – July 15th (Two reporting opportunities removed)

5 October Processing Schedule October ’08K’ –October 12 th - First Submission date –December 14 th – ‘Out of Compliance’ deadline Submission of incomplete or inaccurate data for triggers an official out of compliance letter to be mailed on 12/18/2007 with guidance as to corrective action. This is the initiation of a 45-day data accountability corrective action cycle, which includes withholding of district funding. Up to 10% of funds can be withheld ( changed from 10%) –February 1 st – Last Processing Opportunity ODE’s Processing Schedule can be found by following the ODE EMIS Processing Schedule link off of NWOCA’s EMIS Web Reports page.

6 NWOCA Submission Policy Requests to submit data must be: 1.Enter ticket via CA-Unicenter 2.Send E-mail to mail_staff_emis@nwoca.org Guarantee requests before 5pm on Thursdays ODE deadline to submit is noon on Fridays NWOCA will process Friday morning requests but no guarantee of submission before ODE’s deadline NWOCA’s Submission Policy can be found on our EMIS Web Reports page.

7 Resource Meetings ODE working with OAEP and ITC’s to provide new EMIS Coordinators with helpful resources Meeting to take place November 2 nd in Columbus –Morning for new EMIS Coordinators or those interested in the materials –Afternoon planned to provide updates for those not able to attend OAEP Conference in September –ODE/OAEP to E-mail announcement
