4. Missionary Children DAY OF MANY COLOURS Africa Our Prayer for Africa Let us pray for the people of Africa and all the missionaries working there. Let their work be helpful for all. Let us pray for the doctors, nurses and medical staff who bring medical care to the sick in Africa and around the world. Amen ‘He has sent me to bring good news to the poor, to proclaim liberty to captives and to the blind new sight, to set the downtrodden free.’ (Luke 4:18) GREEN AFRICA Our first colour is GREEN which represents AFRICA

Let us pray for all teachers and school staff who bring education to the children of the Americas and around the world. Amen

Missionary Children DAY OF MANY COLOURS WHITE EUROPE Our third colour is WHITE which represents EUROPE ‘Jesus went all around Galilee teaching in the synagogues, proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom and curing all kinds of diseases and sickness among the people.’ (Matthew 4:23-24) Our Prayer for Europe Let us pray for the people of Europe and all the missionaries working there. We pray that the Church here continues to help all those in need, especially the sick. Amen

But anyone who drinks the water that I shall give will never be thirsty again.’ (John 4:13-14) Oceania Our Prayer for Oceania Let us pray for the people of Oceania and all the missionaries working there. Let us also pray for the Philippines and the other countries in the world where disasters have destroyed homes, hospitals, schools and churches, leaving orphans and despair. Amen

Let us pray for the priests, nuns and aid workers who bring food and shelter to the children of Asia and children around the world. Amen
