Industry Image What needs to be done? –At best we have no image –Stop being our own worst enemy –Have been some improvements (Networks forcing others to raise their own standards) –Fix some of the other issues and image will fix itself –Leave it to the Trade Media –Look into ways to get exposure in other Non-Trade publications

3. Shop Accreditation Important? – Yes Why? –National Issue –Greater today than in the past

4. Shop Accreditation What needs to be done? –Come up with something tangible. –If we don’t do it someone else will! –CCIF should influence but not be the regulatory body

5. Training & Skills Development Important? – Yes Why? –Need for skilled tradespersons

6. Training & Skills Development What needs to be done? –National database of training –What is going to be acceptable or not Needs to be measurable –Needs to be Technical and Non-Technical –Needs to be for Techs and Office Personnel

Internal Issue We needs to step back before we move forward –Tie up loose ends, Parts & Mat, LKQ, Aftermarket Develop Business plan –How committees are to work CCIF has been afraid to have an IDENTITY –Needs to be the national voice Can’t do it by itself, local assoc’s need to take ownership by taking some of the topics and providing feedback to committees
