1. Welcome to Discovery’s 10 th year of Hoops for Heart! This is a fundraiser for “The American Heart Association”. ALL funds raised go to this association !

2. In order to get out of class to come to the BUMP competition during school you MUST: * Raise at least $5.00 and turn it in to your PE/Health/Tech or Leadership teacher using a donation envelope.

3. Tips for fundraising: * The easiest way is to register online at heart.org/hoops and click on the button “Students Sign Up” *Select your state and find your school *Join the school’s team and set up your own web page. *Send Ecard’s to family & friends

4. How to get Community Service Hours: * You can log all the time you spend online setting up your Hoops for Heart web page and any time you spend calling or asking people to donate. *Fill out a blue Community Service Form and have your parents sign as to how much time you spent & then turn it in!

7. Last year Discovery raised over $1960.00 for the American Heart Association. Our best year ever was over $3000.00! We need your help – if every student brought in a $5.00 donation we would be close to $4000.00 --- come on Discovery let’s help the community & fight heart disease!
