Until then we dance for life.” The reason we are doing this is to support Meadowthorpe families that are struggling with cancer. All proceeds will be donated to the Dance Blue Clinic at UK. Several of our Meadowthorpe students benefit from the services this clinic provides. Please consider joining me and other Meadowthorpe Mustangs as we help the people that do so much for sick kids! Concession proceeds will go to support the 5 th grade trip! Parents, this can be a great opportunity for a couple of hours of parents’ night out if you need it during the busy holiday shopping season. DanceBlue is a student-run philanthropy at the University of Kentucky to benefit the Golden Matrix Fund, which provides critical support for children being treated for cancer and their families. DanceBlue is a year-long fundraising effort involving thousands of UK students, which culminates in a 24-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon on UK's campus. All of the money raised by DanceBlue goes to the Golden Matrix Fund. Since 2006, DanceBlue has raised over $3.5 million dollars for the UK Pediatric Oncology Clinic and Markey Cancer Center. Every year, over 120 campus organizations and 700 dancers help raise money to support all the DanceBlue families.
