Spanish I Index Spiral It will count as a quiz grade at the end of each semester. It is meant to be a quick reference for all of the concepts that you will learn this year. Store it in class for convenience but you are always allowed to take it home to work on it or to help you study.

General Information Be concise (to the point), and include the most important thing(s) to know about each topic. Make sure that your Table of Contents and your topic #s match. In other words, if #3 is Telling Time in the Table of Contents, then I expect to see Telling Time information when I go to the page that has topic #3. And most importantly, make sure that your information is accurate and spelled correctly.

Making Things Stand Out When applicable or able, Illustrate a concept, give an example, definition, verb chart, etc.

Which Way? You can do one topic on the front side of each card… Or you can use both sides.

If You’re Using Both Sides… Start from the top and work your way down. If not, it will look like this and you’ll have to constantly flip it over.

Overall Presentation Neatness counts! Make sure that we can both read what you put on there… Use color to highlight details and make things stand out. Don’t just use regular pencil! Do not cram a lot of information or more than 2 topics on one side of a card. You have plenty of room, use it!

Getting Started Write your name and class period on the outside and/or inside cover. Look at examples in class to give you some ideas – the table of contents & requirements change from year to year, so don’t rely on just copying what you see in one of the examples.

The Cover Decorating the cover is optional, but you can earn 1-5 bonus points.

Step 1 Work on the Table of Contents FIRST – be sure to write out the entire list of 50 items. There are 32 topics for the first semester and 18 for the second semester. Even though we’re currently in the first semester, you still need to write all 50 titles in the Table of Contents. This is to ensure that you do not run out of room.

Table of Contents Example

Step 2 Once the Table of Contents is completed, you can begin to work on each topic. I will give you a printout of what I expect to see for each topic. Do not fall behind! Use your class time wisely and you’ll have plenty of time to complete it by the due date.

Due Date Red Day = Monday, December 14 th Green Day = Tuesday, December 15 th
