Well, here it is: Subj.VerbObj. Ichhabeeinen Hund Ihave a dog
So, now you want to say that you have no dog. No problem!!!!
Here it goes: Subj.VerbObj. Ichhabe einen Hund Ihave no dog k
Have you noticed…..? einen Hund has become k einen Hund
So, in order to say that you have no ……. (e.g.dog) - you need to insert a k in front of the einen/eine/ein before the Object! Simple!
Well, here it is for a feminine object: Subj.VerbObj. Ichhabe eine Katze Ihave no cat k
