2. About the religion! Around 3 million people believe in Buddhism. Buddhism started 2,500 years ago when Siddhartha Gautama know as the Buddha was awakened at age 35.

3. More about religion! The word Buddhism came from “Budhi” which means to awaken. Buddhism leads to a moral life to be mindful of your actions and aware of thoughts, and to develop wisdom and understanding.

4. Buddhist Temples! Buddhist can worship at home or at temple. Buddhist temples are based on 5 different elements. Fire, air, earth, water, and wisdom. Buddhist often set aside a room as a shrine. All Buddhist temples contain a image or statue of a Buddha.

5. About the First Buddha! Siddhartha Gautama was born in Lumina, Nepal. He was the first Buddha. He originated from southeasterner Asia.
