8. PTA Financial Future Over the past five years, the PTA budget has grown from approximately $5,000.00 to $55,000.00. Incoming funds consist of smaller fundraisers (under $1,000.00), one big fundraiser (auction $30,000) and/or grants. PTA funds have covered fieldtrips, school events, supplies for classrooms, afterschool classes and family support. As the PTA budget grows, there is a greater need for a long-term strategy focused on fundraising and spending.
