1. Learn how to effectively memorize OODLES of information 5 minutes at a time.

2. Objective – to memorize a maximum amount if information in 5 minutes for accurate recall NOTE: for this to be effective you must have a goal, you must be focused, and you need to follow the system.

3. Materials Required ◦ Information to be memorized: Note cards, notes, map(s), listed information, graphic organizer ◦ Timer ◦ Paper ◦ Pencil NOTE: for this to be effective you must have a goal, you must be focused, and you need to follow the system.

4. Process ◦ Set a goal to memorize a specific amount of information. ◦ Set the time for 3 minutes and review specified information until the timer sounds. ◦ Set the time for 2 minutes and record all the information you just tried to memorize. ◦ Repeat as needed NOTE: for this to be effective you must have a goal, you must be focused, and you need to follow the system.

5.  Take out your flashcards  Your goal: to accurately recall 5 spelling words, spelled correctly without referring back to flashcards.

7.  Now Set the timer for 2 minutes.  While the clock is counting down: ◦ Write down all the words you can recall ◦ Review them for proper spelling Repeat this process as often as necessary with a newly defined goal each time.
