12 What is a replenishment grant? A replenishment grant is a scholarship awarded to a BYU student from the Alumni Association or an Alumni Association Chapter. The grant is given with the understanding that the amount of the grant will be paid back when the recipient is able to do so.

13 Chapter Replenishment Grants The Cleveland Chapter raises funds for the local replenishment grant The grant applications are promoted by the chapter The grant applications are accepted by the BYU scholarship office and then forwarded to the Chapter The chapter selects local recipients based on GPA, financial need, and commitment by student to repay so that a future grant can benefit another student Additional details to follow.

15 Goals Provide up to two full scholarships for BYU students commencing in the Fall of 2012 Raise $15,000 or more in 2011 as seed funds for the replenishment grant Kick off the fund-raising effort with a dinner event at the home of the Snyders

16 Steps/Timeline in 2011 July 10. Each committee member to provide list of 10 invitees to Debbie Oda August 5. Begin phone campaign to invite potential donors to dinner August 19. Hand deliver invitations to dinner invitees September 23. Phone calls to dinner invitees to confirm attendance October 8. Dinner at the Snyder home. October 15. Send thank you notes to Snyders and invitees; follow up on promised/pledged donations.
