4 Day 1 Domus Medica spending over budget (Prof Krajewski) Attempts to make UEMS acounts more transparent (Prof Vassilios) Attempts to attract UEMS Boards to hold meetings (limit of 70 delegates) and use secretarial services of domus medica for payment UEMS central is asking Boards to contribute from their accounts and is witholding EACCME payments for 2015/2016. Payments will then be resumed.

5 UEMS Central assets 7.6 million 4.6 million spent on Domus Medica (1.1 million over budget) 300,000 euro pending payments UEMS central income approx 250,000 euro annually and there are permanent staff (CEO Bertrand Daval, and secretaries).

6 European training Requirements Presented by Prof Papalois (vice president of UEMS) for all surgical specialties Process of harmonisation (not all countries have provisions for all types of surgical specialties) UEMS does not supercede the individual National Authorities in defining the training process but can advise with the weight of all the other EU countries in order to ensure high quality training across Europe
