5  Proceeds from drilling could dramatically lower the price of oil, leading to an economic boom  It would lessen our dependence on foreign oil, especially in the Middle East  Drilling could easily be done without disrupting the refuge or damaging the environment  Drilling and land development would create hundreds of thousands of jobs  Alternative energy sources are too expensive and underdeveloped; oil from anywhere could help fuel the world economy in the meantime Breanna

9  Top states are Texas, Alaska, Louisiana, California and Alabama  It is produced in 31 states across the country  58% of oil is imported though William Selby
