3 Tampa, Florida Outback Steakhouse founded in Tampa, Florida in 1988.
Bob Basham, Chris T. Sullivan, Trudy Cooper and Tim Gannon are founders of the Outback. They noticed boom of Australia at that time, and they founded an Australian steakhouse restaurant. No, 3

4 The meaning of the “OUTBACK”
Outback is ………..the Australian countryside, far away from cities, where few people live. According to my dictionary, the meaning of the Outback is the Australian countryside, far away from cities, where few people live. They decided to their restaurant’s name as Outback is because they had some hopes for their steakhouse, and they hope it’s going to be their starting point for their dream. No, 4

6 No rules, just right!! The Company’s strategy is to differentiate its restaurants by emphasizing consistently high-quality food and service, generous portions at moderate prices and a casual atmosphere suggestive of the Australian Outback. Founders know plenty about the philosophy “no rules, just right” because they have lived it since day one. Even the timing of their venture to launch a casual steak place came when many pundits were pronouncing red meat consumption dead in America. The Outback steakhouse headquarters is very different from other restaurant companies because the company has no public relations department, no human resources department, and no recruiting apparatus. Using such tactics and their “no rules, just right” philosophy, they have accomplished two main goals, which are discipline and solid growth. No, 6

7 Their belief and principle
Provides excellent services Thinks customers first Past research in the United States, Outback steakhouse is selected No, 1 restaurant by many people in the United States. The reason why people chose Outback is because Outback provides high quality services and always thinks customers first. These beliefs and principles are evaluated by many customers. No, 7

9 OUTBACK GIVES BACK OUTBACK believes that ………being good neighbors is more than just an idea; it is the driving force in how they do business. Outback Steakhouse takes great pride in giving back. They have a strong commitment to improve the quality of life in each of our communities. Being good neighbors is more than just an idea; it is the driving force in how we do business. Each of their restaurants seeks out local groups and events with which to share its food, time and money. By enlisting the volunteer spirit of their Outbackers, our restaurants create awareness of local groups and help build our communities from within. For example, fall 2009, 22 volunteers from Outback Steakhouse and Carrabba’s Italian Grill will bring a taste of home to United States and coalition troops stationed overseas. The Feeding Freedom VI mission will make stops throughout the Middle East to serve approximately 21,000 service men and women. No, 9
