4 Baylor students learning to integrate instructional technology during weekly seminars. They learned how to use the apps and tools by completing hands-on activities in the PDS room so they could apply the use of the apps and tools in weekly classroom use with their K-4 students.

11 TEKS and Examples of Instructional Technology Use of Baylor Student with their K-4 Students ELAR K13.A, 13E – write a draft and share writing with others Baylor student used Google Maps to launch lesson about Christopher Columbus ELAR K4.A, 4.B - comprehend a variety of texts drawing on useful strategies as needed Baylor student used Slideshow to launch creating a personal book about student travel ELAR 4.11C – comparisons Fourth grade students used Venn Diagram app to compare/contrast main characters in two expository texts Social Studies 4.21 – organize and use information acquired from a variety of valid sources 4.3BCD – Research and information fluency Fourth grade students used Book Creator app to create books about organizations they researched ELAR 3.4- understand new vocabulary Students used Pic Collage to create a model for each word to include the word, definition, picture and new sentence. QR Readers were used to open the words that were defined in Pic Collage.

14 This instructional technology series was added as a component of my course, TED 3620, in the School of Education at Baylor University; however, many professionals were instrumental in delivering the content and assistance needed to ensure excellence.
