1 November/December 2015 Newsletter Cumberland County SPCA Volunteer to socialize and help with dogs and cats at the SPCA. This may include playing with, walking or bathing animals. Friday: 11/6, 11/20, 12/4 & 12/11 12:00-2:00 pm Transportation is available and leaves one half hour before project starts.

2 GCDC After School Wed. 11/4/15 Wed. 12/9/15 3:00 – 4:00 pm Social and play with local students in first through eight grade. This may include crafts, rec games or other activities. Please sign up in the Volunteer Office. Transportation is provided. GCDC Day Care Mon. 11/23/15 Mon. 12/7/15 9:30 – 10:30 am Work with preschool age children in a classroom setting to help them develop and grow. Please sign up in the Volunteer Office. Transportation is provided.

3 Serve dinner at a soup kitchen in Camden. Cathedral Kitchen serves over 300 people and families daily! Wed., November 18 th 3:30—5:30pm Van leaves at 3:00 pm

4 Rowan Little Owls Tuesday Nov. 17 th Tuesday Dec. 3rd 9:15-10:15 am at the Rowan Pre-school Help teach Rowan’s preschool students about the importance of Volunteering with a fun craft project.

5 Ronald McDonald House Volunteer to cook and serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House! Wed. Dec. 2 nd 4:00 – 6:00 pm Van leaves at 3:30 pm Manis for Grannies Help the residents of Juniper Village get all dolled up by giving them beautiful manicures! 8 Volunteer HOMEWORKER HELPER Work with children in grades K-8 to provide academic support in all subjects in an after school setting. Homeworker Helpers will assist students to complete their homework and to use good study skills. Helpers will track members’ progress and attendance and provide informal tutoring as needed. Helpers may lead enrichment activities like reading for meaning in addition to homework support. Have multiple organizations around the Glassboro area, with different \ days from 3-5 pm.
