1 USING GOOGLE EARTH GRAPHS FOR DATA PRESENTATION Add placemarks to the sites that you have collected data for. Make sure they are appropriately titled. In ‘My Places’ create a folder where you will keep your placemarks needed for your GE Graph. Label the folder appropriately. Your folder should now contain all the sites that you will use for your GE Graph. Drag and drop the sites in if they are elsewhere in the toolbar. Right-click on your folder, and select ‘Save As’. Save your work under an appropriate name. IMPORTANT: Change the ‘type’ to a.KML file; this is really important to make your GE Graph work. Now open up your version of GE Graphs. Click file, and Open the KML file you just made.

2 When finished, click run. Always select ‘Open in GE’ Select 3D and 50 sides for a round column. These 3 variables determine whether you graph shows bar height, thickness or colour. Select your units and bar height per unit. Have a play with this. If you want an outline of your column, select it here. Blue is VERY overpowering. Here you should see the names of the placemarks that you created earlier. In this column, fill in the data that you would like to present. Create a suitable title, and write it in these spaces. Your title font and background colour can be changed here.

3 With luck, it might look like this (probably better!)
