12 Current Activities The development of a knowledge base in Watson’s caring theory has been limited by the abstractness of the concept. Patient outcomes in caring transaction need further study.

13 The Model in Action Mr.Smith is scheduled for an above the knee amputation of his right leg because the last amputation did not heal properly. The nurse, Jose knows him quite well after caring for him in previous hospitalizations. (sustaining a helping-trusting caring relationship with Mr Smith. CCP#4)
