Expectations/Reglas Each student will participate every day, in every activity of the circle—requires more attention & participation than before! No side talking while in the circle RESPECT each other!! Don’t be in the same place every day in the circle…I may move you so you are not by your friends, or partner you with people you don’t know No inglés!! En español!! Speak as much as you can en espanol…that’s how you learn. Some of you don’t know much yet…so that means you won’t be talking too much!! When I ask you to speak with 5 people or to speak with your neighbor, you actually do it! only in Spanish!

Housekeeping/Grades You will get a weekly participation grade for the participation standard based on how you do in class. If I have to ask you to stop talking en inglés then you will be marked down…or if you are not participating. Also, if you are not here, you will be marked down, because you are missing out on an opportunity to speak & hear Spanish for an hour We will have homework 2 or 3 days a week. We will generally use the homework the next day in the circle. It will usually be creative, creating with the language.

Materials Every day you need to bring your composition notebook to the circle, along with a pencil or pen. You will put these on the floor in front of you when class begins.

Reflexion Turn debrief paper over: fold into 4 sections, write the following on each section selfwhole class Did well Need to work on

In your groups, you have 3 minutes to answer: What is trust to you? What does trust look like? (in life, in class?) What does it look like when trust is broken? (in life, in class?) If a 1 is not trusting someone at all, and a 10 is trusting them completely, what is it going to take to get to a 10 in Spanish class (where you trust your classmates completely)?
