Eph 5:18, “Do not get drunk with wine, for that is a waste of life, but be filled with the Spirit.”

Doxology Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.— Amen.

The Book of Proverbs Chapter 4 Prov 4:12-15 Walk/Run in Wisdom to Avoid Evil Ways!

III. Section 2, Vs. 10-19. Stay away from the wicked individual!

Gal 5:16-26, To “walk” or even “run”, is dependent on the obligation you have to maintain an attitude of confidence and expectation in GPS.

Keeping that obligation will make the Spirit’s promotion of your walk or run a blessed reality.

It is not a mere conformity to some rigid standards, rules or code of conduct. It means dependence upon God the Holy Spirit to lead you in each and every step of your life.

Every physical step you take is an incipient fall, dependent upon your forward foot to recover your balance and support you.

To walk/run in the Spirit is a constant series of commitments to take a step and cast yourself upon Him with confidence and anticipation that He will support you.

When you do, He will always be there to catch you before you fall.

When you do, He will always be there to catch you before you fall. Psa 91:11-12, “For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. 12 They will bear you up in their hands, that you do not strike your foot against a stone.”

Intimacy with Wisdom and the Holy Spirit is the actual experience of consciously and habitually depending upon their enabling power, as you make decisions about your life every day.

As you learn to walk and run your Father expects you to crawl before you walk and to experience many falls and failures before being able to walk or run freely.

You will walk/run when you learn the difference between depending upon the flesh and dependence upon the Word and Spirit.

Vs. 13, As you learn to walk/run you need to hold on to something that will support, stabilize and sustain you, i.e “wisdom.”

“Wisdom” is what the Holy Spirit uses to give you the proper balance in life and support when falling.

Without it you are not able to move forward and your life is a constant falling down with no progress or promotion.

Yet, the wise are protected by prudence and understanding. Prov 4:6; 14:16; 22:3; 27:12.

Vs. 14-15, as in Gal 5:17-21, we are told what impedes us and causes us to stumble, so that we can avoid them and continue to walk and run in the light of Christ.

Vs. 15, We are to: “Avoid”, PARA, “Pass by”, ABAR, “Turn away” SATAH, “Pass on”, ABAR, the ways of Satan’s Cosmic System rather than joining in.

Prov 4:16-17, The counterfeit Communion Table.
