You must show your work mathematically and explain your strategy. 2) Find the least whole number N greater than 40 for which: (1) N divided by 4 leaves a remainder of 1, and (2) N divided by 5 leaves a remainder of 3. 3) The pages of a book are numbered consecutively from 1 to 100. What is the sum of all the digits used in numbering the pages of the entire book? Three darts are thrown at the dartboard shown. A miss scores 0 points. The three scores are added together. Find the least whole number total score that is impossible to obtain. 5)Dwayne’s street has 12 houses on it. Everyday more letters are delivered to his house than any of the others. Today 57 letters were delivered to his street. What is the minimum number of letters that Dwayne could have received today? 6)The odometer in Mr. Jackson’s car shows he has traveled 62,222 miles. What is the least number of additional miles that Mr. Jackson must travel before the odometer again shows 4 of the 5 digits in the same as each other? 7) A normal duck has 2 legs. A lame duck has one leg. A sitting duck as no legs. Donald has 33 ducks. He has two more normal ducks than lame ducks and two more lame ducks than sitting ducks. How many legs in all do the 33 ducks have? 8) The numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 are placed in the empty squares so that each of the four numbers appears in each row, in each column, and in each diagonal. Find the value of A and the value of B. Trina is 1 month older than Billy. Jason is 3 months older than Billy. Kimberly is 4 months older than Jason. How much older than Trina is Kimberly, in months?
