5. 1 Grading Lecture: 3 lecture exams will be given Lowest grade will be dropped ONLY IF all exams have been taken No- make-up exams 2 highest grades combine to make up 45% of your course grade

6. 1 Grading Laboratory: 35% of your course grade lab exercises field trips 2 lab exams

7. 1 Grading Final Exam: – A cumulative final exam will constitute 20% of your course grade. It will be given on the last day of class

8. 1 Extra Credit 10 current, oceanography-related articles and an in-depth analysis/ summary of each article Due by May 8th– NO LATE JOURNALS WILL BE ACCEPTED

9. 1 Field Trips This course includes field trips that will take the place of lab periods. Attendance on these field trips is expected.
