4 Outcomes Identify your professional learning needs, and meet those needs in a professional development context Meet your ‘human needs’ for community, networking, and social interaction with your professional peers Increase your understanding of other organizations and programs in the Community of Practice Identify the areas in which programs are either complementary of, or in competition to, one another Identify education ‘gaps’ in the delivery of your topic (e.g. water education)

6 Topics Water Education – includes education about wetlands, oceans, water conservation, etc. Energy and Climate Education – includes education about energy efficiency and conservation, alternative energy, transportation, climate change etc. Land Use and Conservation Education – includes education about parks, biodiversity, wildlife, agriculture, forestry, etc. Outdoor Education – includes education about outdoor skills, healthy outdoor lifestyles, sensory activities, camp experiences, nature centres, etc. Waste Education – includes education about recycling and the 3Rs, composting, consumerism etc.
