2 What is RMS?  Stands for Restaurant Maintenance System  Designed to cater to the requirements of Restaurant owners, helping them in the maintenance of the Restaurants.  Provides comprehensive information regarding the performance of the Restaurant.

4 What is Offered?  Daily reports of the business done. –Gives a detailed report of the sales that are done on a particular day. –Can be used to find the sales of a particular item, hence provide a measure of demand for a particular food product  Monthly reports. –Generates a report of the sales carried out during the particular month. –Also offers item-wise report generation.  Bill-generation. –Generation of bills for a particular customer. –Supports payment of bills through cheques and credit cards.

5 Benefits  Easy to use. –By providing the user with the familiar controls, RMS is so designed to make easy use of its functionality. –Designed keeping in mind that the application users need not be fully computer-literate.  Easily Extensible. –RMS is designed to suit the requirements of all restaurants, the application can be used even if the restaurant grows in size, reach and functionality.  Less Demanding. –The application is not resource hungry and is tested to be working on any windows machine with any database at the back end.

6 Benefits Contd…  Password protected –The application is protected with the user-level and administrator level security, thereby ensuring authoritative access to the user. –Ability to create new users or drop existing users.  Easy navigation through the records –Add new records, modify existing one, browse through the record set, all from a single location –Powerful search facilities to find a particular records that match a criteria.

7 Functional Requirements  Any system running on Windows family.  Minimum of 3 MB hard-disk space.  Any RDBMS package like SQL Server or MS-Access.  Pentium 166 MHz or Higher, or any other equivalent processor.

8 Login Screen  This screen accepts the user-id and password of the person who is trying to login. The application opens up only if it finds that the person is authorized to view it.  New user name and passwords can be generated by the administrator. Know How

9 Add New Users  This screen is only accessible to the administrator who can add or delete the user information.  The Administrator can also decide to drop any user from the application

10 Adding a new Item.  Add any new items through this window.  The item-code is generated automatically.  The Item-menu field is to indicate the category to which the item belongs to. Know More

11 Know More about Item Menu Select the Item kind to which the new item belongs

12 Reservation Screen  The customer can use this window to reverse their tables.  By default the date is current date.  Advance amount has to be paid to reserve a seat.

13 Order Screen  The customers of the restaurant use this screen to order the restaurant.  The Booking ID is the ID that is generated when the Table is reserved. Know More

14 Know more about Orders  Selecting the Item menu and Item type displays all the items of that kind, along with the item code.  The users can select the Item and enter its item code in the Item Code text box.  Pressing “Add Item To Menu” adds the item to the user’s menu.

15 Bill Payment  This screen is only accessible to the administrator.  The mode of payment can be cash, Cheque or Credit Card.  The Amount that is paid to reserve the seat is automatically deducted from the total. Know More Show a Sample Bill

16 Sample Bill generated by RMS  This bill is generated by RMS. The headers are the name and address of the restaurant.

17 Know more About Bill Payment This option is required If the payment mode is through cheque. The Total field and the Grand Total are not editable They are obtained directly From the database.

18 Report Generator  The radio-box gives us the option of choosing only a particular Item.  This can be used to trace the sales of any food Item.

19 About Reports The above screenshot of a sample report generated by the RMS all the information is readily available in a Comprehensive manner.

20 Add New Users  This screen is only accessible to the administrator who can add or delete the user information.
