What Christ Left Us… The Indwelling Presence of God  John 14:16 “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may be with you forever…” A Meaningful Life!  John 15:5 “he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit” Fulfilling Love  John 15:9 “Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.”

3. The “High Priestly Prayer” Jn 17:14-20 "I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. [15] "I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. [16] "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. [17] "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. [18] "As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. [19] "For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. [20] "I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;

4. “In the World, Not Of the World…”  A “System”: kosmo Í F Hostile to God –John 17:14 the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world F Hostile to a Christian’s Spirituality 1 John 2:15-16 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 1 John 5:19 “We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” John 17:15 “I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.” Rev. 21:2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 1 John 2:17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

5. The Radical Alternative A Radical Counter-Culture  Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” A Radical Viewpoint: The Word of God  John 17:17 “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” Radical Impact  John 17:18 “As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.” John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Romans 12:2 “Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you.”

6. Having Radical Impact Identifying With the World  John 17:15 "I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.”  1 Cor. 9:22 “I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.” Displaying Christian Unity & Love  John 17:21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
