3 What is radiation and how is it harmful? Radiation: The process in which energy is emitted as particles or waves. We are exposed to low amounts of radiation each day Symptoms of low level Radiation are: nausea vomiting headache some loss of white blood cells Symptoms of high level Radiation are: Hair Loss Internal Harm Digestive System Damage Death

4 What is the extent of the radiation damage? The radiation is of little to no harm to U.S. The radiation is at high levels at the plants People have been evacuated within a 10 to 20 mile radius Only a few people have been exposed As of now no one has died People In Japan have taken Medicine for the radiation
