2 ELECTRICITY Electricity is something we use everyday. Electricity produces light, heat, sound, and movements. Household objects are called electrical appliances. Electrical appliances can run off the mains supply or from batteries. The mains supply is more powerful and dangerous than a battery.

3 Bar Magnets ! A bar magnet has two ends:a north pole and a south. All forces has a direction. If you put two bar magnets together that are the same like, two south poles they would repel. If the bar magnets are different they would attract.

4 Seven Facts About Magnets! 1. North poles point north, south poles point south. 2. Like poles repel, unlike poles attract. 3. Magnetic forces attract only magnetic materials. 4. Magnetic forces act at a distance. 5. While magnetized, temporary magnets act like permanent magnets. 6. A coil of wire with an electric current flowing through it becomes a magnet. 7. Putting iron inside a carrying coil increase the strength of the electromagnet.

5 Three Types Of Magnets ! Permanents magnets Temporary magnets Electromagnets Permanents magnets are those you are most familiar with such as the one that’s one your refrigerator doors. Temporary magnets are the ones that is strong than a permanents but it look like them. An electromagnets is a tightly wound helical coil of wire.
