2. 2 nd charter renewal petition for Aspire: River Oaks Charter School is being submitted for the period from July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2016. The Charter agreement is similar to the prior 2006 charter renewal petition and contains all of the legally required elements. The main change is in regards to special education responsibilities. –Currently, ROCS is a member of the El Dorado County SELPA. Special education services are no longer a responsibility of LUSD. Currently, River Oaks is a “9” in Similar Schools Rank and a “10” in State Rank. 2010 API brings ROCS to an 887, a 37 point increase from 08-09 school year, a 187 point increase from its opening year. In 2009, River Oaks received an Honor Roll award from California for Business Excellence. In 2010, River Oaks became a CA Distinguished Schools and a Title 1 Academic Achievement Award Winner.
