2  Migration Planning Group convened  Implementation Timetable approved  Fall 2015: Six OEI Courses in Canvas  Winter 2016: Voluntary start for online courses in Canvas  Fall 2016: Target date for all Foothill courses in Canvas  Spring 2017: Last quarter to teach Foothill courses in Etudes  Implementation & Migration Progress To Date  Integrated with Banner  Service Cloud help desk set up  Canvas Certification  Services purchased to administer course evaluation surveys for students  Etudes to Canvas Migration Tool available in December  Faculty & Student Support  Question and Answer session conducted on Foothill College Opening Day  Student Orientation site and in-person sessions  Canvas Users Group

3 Online Education Initiative Participation  Three Foothill College employees participated in OEI selection of common course management system  6 sections of online courses for OEI pilot in 2015 Fall Quarter  OEI services for online tutoring and basic skills integrated  OEI Consortium meeting and OEI committee meetings  Assistance provided to OEI and Canvas Instructure for development and quality assurance of Etudes to Canvas Migration Tool  One Foothill College faculty member trained as an OEI course evaluator and has evaluated a number of classes for the course exchange

4 COOL (Committee on Online Learning)  2015-16 Membership  22 faculty members representing all divisions  10 friends  4 support staff  Monthly meetings  Goals and priority tasks  Advance support and action for implementation of Canvas as the college-wide course management system, and the migration from Etudes to Canvas  Promote online course quality standards  Address ongoing accessibility questions  Clarify hybrid course requirements and guidelines  Survey online faculty to identify their principal needs and challenges  Explore the capacity of Canvas to support and/or integrate SLO assessments  Provide input to the new Distance Ed Plan
