3 THE VALUE OF STORYTELLING  What life do stories take on when they are told orally, rather than written?  How does the teller, tell the story well? 4 Diversity Across Australia  There are hundreds of distinct Aboriginal groups across Australia- each with unique names usually identifying particular languages. Each language was used for original myths.  With so many distinct Aboriginal groups, languages, beliefs and practices, scholars cannot attempt to characterize the full range and diversity of all myths.

6 Oodgeroo Noonuccal  Oodgeroo 1920-1993) was an Australian poet, political activist, artist and educator. She was also a campaigner for Aboriginal rights. 8 Group Table Work 1. Read the piece out loud- STAY FOCUSED PLEASE! 2. Complete the chart for YOUR story/myth 3. Recreate the story/myth visually on the poster paper 4. Use key words and/or quotes as well as symbols and artwork 5. Copy illustrations or create your own 6. Ensure a title 7. Choose 2 people in your group to present poster! Class will copy your chart info down- so be clear!
