1.Violation of signature rules 2.Taking money from a customer 3.Submitting an application on themselves or a person related by blood or marriage 4.Forging or falsifying an application 5.Failure to delivery policy 6.Frequently replacing customer’s existing polices 7.Failure to meet minimum standards Top Reasons Agents Are Terminated

Worksite Reminders 1.For all worksite cases, there must be 10 eligible employees with 7 or more policies billed. 2.To be eligible, an employee must work fulltime (30 or more hours a week) and must meet the employment requirement (6 months or 12 months, based on the type of business). Contract or leased employees are not eligible. 3.A franchise number cannot be assigned until all paperwork is received and the franchise is approved. E-mail documents to worksite@libnat.com

Worksite Reminders 1.Only policies insuring the employee can be pre- taxed. Individual and single-parent policies insuring the spouse and children cannot be pre-taxed.

School Districts 1.School systems that require 9 or 10 month billings have special requirements: a)Verify when the first pay period (deduction) and the last pay period (deduction) are for the employees. b)Verify when the bookkeeper needs the authorizations to begin the first deductions from the first paychecks for the school year. c)Check the 9 month or 10 month box on the Billing Information Sheet and write in which months will not be billed.

School Districts d)If the school deducts 10 months each year, you calculate the premium by multiplying the monthly premium by 12 and divide by 10. For example, if the monthly premium is $10 (12 month billing) the 10 month premium calculation is $10 x 12 = $120 ÷ 10 = $12. By remitting $12 a month for 10 months, there is enough premium to pay the policies through the summer. e)If the school deducts 9 months each year, you calculate the premium by multiplying the monthly premium by 12 and divide by 9. For example, if the monthly premium is $10 (12 month billing) the 9 month premium calculation is $10 x 12 = $120 ÷ 9 = $13.33. By remitting $13.33 per month for 9 months, there is enough premium to pay the policies through the summer.

School Districts f)These calculations only work if the first deduction is made from the first paycheck of the year. For example, on a 9 month billing, if the first paychecks and deductions are in September and the last paychecks and deductions are in May, there will be 9 premiums paid and enough premium remitted to pay the premiums through the summer when no premiums are paid by the school system. However, if the deductions are not started until October (the second month), there will only be enough time to deduct and remit 8 payments and there will not be enough premium paid by the end of May to pay the premiums through the summer.

School Districts g)The only time to start a 9 or 10 month school enrollment is the first week of the school year. And, you must have an agreement from the bookkeeper that she will make the first deductions from the first paychecks of the year so that there will be enough time to deduct enough premiums to pay the policies through the summer. h)If you have any questions about 9 or 10 month billings for school systems, contact the Worksite Department.

Required Meetings/ Contact with Bookkeeper 1.Meet as soon as employer agrees to establish program 2.Meet as soon as enrollment is concluded 3.Call the week before deductions are to begin 4.Call the week deductions are to begin – verify first deductions are starting as scheduled 5.Meet when she receives the first billing 6.Call to verify she mailed first month’s premium on time 7.Call each month when she receives the bill – meet with her if necessary
