Complete 12 th Grade Readiness Rubric – Grades – Personal/Social Readiness Indicators – Readiness Rubric Rating Scales – GRAD Test – ACT Test – College Readiness Rubric Reflection

3 Review: Purpose Start thinking about college now! – Readiness Rubrics helps you know if are on-track to be college ready When find out you have readiness gaps, you can make plans to close those gaps Two levels on the path to college readiness Developing: Does Not or Partially Meets Meeting: Meets or Exceeds

4 Review: 12 th Grade Readiness Rubric Helps students access their college readiness in different areas like grades, academic belief, self- management, effort, and test scores

5 3 Important School Success Factors Increasing ratings in the following three areas should help you get better grades and be more prepared for future success 1.Academic Belief Have you built more confidence in your ability to do school work? 2.Self-Management Are you more academically organized? 3.Effort and Persistence Are you trying harder and more determined to finish tasks?

6 Completing the Rubric Write today’s date in the checkpoint 2 area Record your current grades, ratings and responses to the items in the Checkpoint 2 boxes For each row, mark whether you are “developing” readiness or “meeting” readiness standards.

7 Reflect on Your College Readiness Reflect on your rubric Create SMART Goals

8 Conference While you are completing your rubric, reflecting, and writing SMART goals, I will be calling each of you to my desk to conference about your readiness rubric. Bring your rubric and reflection with you.
