4. The governance committee works year- round to assist the board to institutionalize effective governance. How can a GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE assist in LSC Leadership?

5. RECRUITING and BOARD OF DIRECTOR SUCCESSION PLANNING GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE TASKS Identify skills and areas of expertise needed by the board. Actively seek out, cultivate and recruit board prospects, encouraging all board members to contribute ideas and connections Recommend individuals for election or prepare a slate of candidates, as mandated by the bylaws.

6. Provide a “governance moment” at each board meeting on a specific governance education topic.
