2. Fingerspelling Review Welcome! If you are new this week, last week we introduced fingerspelling. Take a minute to practice and review your alphabet.

3. Telephone Game We’re going to play a short game! We’re going to have two groups – one group will be those of you who are skilled at fingerspelling already. The other group will be those of you who are just now learning. Each group will stand in a line and play the telephone game. NO VOICES! Be completely silent!

4. Survival Signs The first 100 signs you will learn are called “survival signs” – they are basic words that you will probably say on a daily basis. The words or phrases are written in ASL gloss. ASL gloss means the way it is signed. ASL does not follow the same syntax as English.

7. Partner up! Practice having a conversation with your friends! Move around, introduce yourself to different people and ask them how they are. Remember, no voices!
